Atlıdere Neighborhood

About Neighborhood

Located to the northwest, just a stone's throw from the Seydikemer district center, Atlıdere is a peaceful residential area nestled into the slopes, like a tranquil haven turning its back on the hustle and bustle of the town. Although its proximity of only 4 kilometers makes it easily accessible, it successfully preserves its unique village identity through a dispersed settlement pattern where homes and gardens are spread across a wide area.

Atlıdere's economy is founded on the richness of its soil. On its hillsides, modern greenhouse cultivation coexists with the traditional farming of olives and sesame. Pomegranate orchards, along with fields of wheat and silage corn, reflect the region's agricultural diversity. Additionally, cattle farming, primarily focused on dairy production, holds a significant place among the livelihoods of local families.

With a population that has remained remarkably stable for over a century, Atlıdere possesses a deep-rooted social fabric. Families such as the Gönenler, Kartallar, and Güngörler are part of the neighborhood's living history. While there is no school within the village itself, educational and other social needs are easily met thanks to its closeness to the district center. The Atlıdere Yaylası (highland pasture), which shares the village's name, serves as both a cool retreat during the hot summer months and a place where the community's cultural ties are kept alive.
