This single word, a command in English, is actually the name of one of Seydikemer's most unique highland plateaus. Dont is far more than just a traffic sign; it is a living cultural hub, renowned for its centuries-old pottery tradition, its ice-cold spring waters, and a historical identity that was reborn by the will of its people.

Originally known as the Esenköy Plateau, this cool and fertile highland reclaimed its ancestral name, "Dont," in 2015 after its residents collected signatures to restore it. This name change also changed the village's destiny. Its location on the main tourist route to world-famous sites like Saklıkent Canyon, Tlos, and Letoon has turned the "Dont" sign into an international social media phenomenon. Photos taken and shared by travellers have given the community priceless global recognition.

But the soul of Dont runs much deeper than the fame of its name. This soul is preserved in the famous Dont Jug (Dont Testisi), handcrafted for generations by the women of the region from local clay. These jugs are so iconic that they inspired the local saying, "Don't sit there like a Dont jug," used to describe lazy or listless people. Today, with the number of master potters dwindling, courses are being organized to keep this precious craft alive. The clear, delicious spring water not only sustains the region but also gives life to the very clay from which these famous jugs are made. Dont is the most delightful example of how a modern coincidence can embrace a historical legacy.
